Overview

Primary Purpose & SCOPE OF POSITION:

 

To provide employees work which challenges and improves their lives; and to provide employers with qualified workers and professional service.

 

Administrative Services

 

Placement Operations/General Office Support/Other Duties:

  1. Works closely with front office staff to assure that all operational tasks are completed to include but are not limited to the following:
  2. Human Resources and Staffing duties such as hiring (interviews and job placements), firing and disciplinary actions, when necessary.
  3. Taking detailed job orders including gathering the appropriate job information to relay to possible candidates to fill job orders.
  4. Detailed reviewal of applicant’s resumes/ experience to relay information to clients. Must be persistent when searching for candidates and thinking outside of the box in some cases. Create job postings and ads.
  5. Prepares letters, rate proposals and service agreements conferring with colleagues and using best judgment on workers compensation underwriting and knowledge when to consult with manager. Must be confident in explaining information to clients.
  6. Attends staff meetings, job fairs and human resources, labor law, safety meetings and seminars as instructed (some may be scheduled after normal work hours and on weekends).

 

Other Duties:

  1. Performs other related duties, as needed, in all other departments.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

Schedule: Full time Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a one-hour unpaid lunch

Location:  Indoor, air-conditioned facility area. May be required to work in an outdoor atmosphere if attending functions or trainings. May be required to drive to other locations to attend meetings or client visits.

Equipment Use:  Computer, printers, fax, copy, scanner, phone system and postage machines.

 

Mental, Physical and Communication Demands:  Administrative duties require frequent sitting, standing and walking. Customer service duties require relating to people in a friendly and professional manner.  Requires working to established procedures, maintaining reliable work attendance; may require working under no supervision.  Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to follow both oral and written instructions.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

 

Driving (or being a passenger) to training seminars and events will be required.   On occasion, you may be required to travel by plane on interisland trips to Oahu and the neighbor islands, for training or other work business. On rare occasion, you may be required to fly to the mainland for training or other work business.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

 

High School Diploma, a minimum of 1-2 years clerical/administrative experience and knowledge in Windows, Word and Excel.  Knowledge and actual experience with COATS SQL a plus, but not necessary; however, you must be willing to learn. Human Resources/Recruiting experiences a plus.  Individual must have people skills, must be willing to learn, have high tolerance level, be responsible, positive, self-directed, and multi-tasked, detail oriented and organized.
